Quick Update

Ok, so the target date for the run is 8 weeks away! im in serious jepoardy of not being ready. I came down with pnumonia and have been unable to do anything for two weeks! I am improving, just not sure if im ready to get back out there!

On a side not, Bib hasn't been running because his basement got flooded out with the recent rain. And Todd's achilles is in bad shape, he is definetly out for the race!

Wtf, this is not going as planned! lol

Spring Training!

Did my first training run for the Run To Remember the other day. It was a great day so I headed down to Mine Falls park! One loop, 3 easy miles! No pressure! I knew id make it fine, after all I do play hoop 5 days a week! It as like having a check in your hand, i knew id run the 3 miles just fine but until you deposit the check, you don't get the credit! lol

So I've got about 10 weeks to get ready for the half marathon! Walk in the park folks! Got news today that Bib may join me and Kenny may come up from Florida. It's a lot easier to get people excited for a half than it is a full marathon! lol

Anyway the diet is working out well! I'm down 17 pounds since New Years! Ill be at race weight soon and just 17 pounds away from goal weight!

More Comebacks then Brett Farve

It's been a long time my friends and oh so much has gone on! From Obama to back injuries to a million other stressful situations it sure has been a trying time. There is no way I could catch you folks up on whats happening, so here goes, I promise to stay current while I make another comeback!

I'm turning forty this year and I'm not dealing with it well. I have decided that I need a goal to help me push through! Running has worked before, why not again. Plus, when I run, I blog, and Blogging keeps me sane!

Here it is, I want to run 3 Half Marathons in 2010!! That's it! Neat, Clean, Simple! The half is a nice distance, challenging and manageable! The thought of going the full 26 doesn't turn me on anymore! I'm still banged up with back and ankle injuries. I work four jobs and just don't have the time to train properly!

I'm in the preparation process now! Need to get in shape before i start cranking it up! I've lost 9 pounds since 1/1/10! Still have plenty more to go! I put on a bunch of weight after the back injury last spring!

I'm in the process of picking my first half. It looks like late March or April! I'll keep you posted!
